Algeria Has To Set Alliance With Former Colonized Nations To Clinch France Apology, Belkhadem
State Minister, Secretary General of the National Liberation Front (FLN), Abdelaziz Belkhadem, said on Saturday that Algeria has to set alliance with former colonized countries to press France apologizing for crimes committed in the North African nation.
Mr Belkhadem attended on Saturday an assembly of his party in Mascara province, western the country, amid tough security measures.
SG of FLN has then preferred starting his inaugural allocution by responding to French Foreign Minister, Allain Juppé, who visited recently Algiers where he reiterated the rejection of France to apology for its dark past in Algeria, calling, rather, the two nations to open a brand new page and look up for brighter future.
Mr Belkhadem said “Well, Algeria will not pay attention to that statement (made by Allain Juppe), but rather will keep on sticking on its claim toward the colonial France to apology to Algeria,” adding “We’d propose to expand the campaign to the rest of former colonized countries to demand all together from their former colonizers to apologize and recognize their crimes committed there.”
