The Higher Islamic Council and the Muslim Scholars’ Association in Algeria have urged all those “led astray” to relinquish all together terrorist violence and return, with a genuine repentance, within the fold of their families and the Algerian society in the framework of national reconciliation

• The 2 bodies strongly castigated the latest string of terrorist bombings in Algeria stressing clearly that such criminal acts were totally contrary to the lofty values and precepts of the religion of Islam which upholds peace, tolerance solidarity and brotherhood.

• On the international scene, the terrorist attacks of Boumerdes and Bouira were also firmly condemned in the strongest terms as “barbaric” and “odious” by the UN organization and many world nations which reiterated their total support for the Algerian government and people in their sustained fight against the heinous scourge of terrorism.
