Algeria national police chief dismisses general administration director
Algeria’s national police chief General Major Abdelghani Hamel dismissed the general administration director Youcefi Daimi and a number of executives in the general department and sub-departments.

Communication and press cell official at the national police department Khaled Amara was retired to be succeeded by M. Boudalia.
Hamel appointed Saifi Mohamed Noui as a temporary director of the general administration. He held the position of vice-director of land borders police.
These changes to the national police general administration came following recent riots in several provinces in the country. Some wrongdoings and violations were detected in reports submitted by provincial intelligence departments to Hamel.
The reports show that the officials could not manage the protests and used teargas was out-dated.
“Some anti-riot policemen used claw hammers to face protesters,” say the reports.
Sources said the national police chief will continue those changes to many positions. He relies on high-qualified competences and officers who got superior training abroad in the fight against crime.
