Algeria navy barracks attacker sentenced to life in absentia
A court in Algiers Tuesday sentenced a suicide bomber to life in absentia in for belonging to an armed terrorist group and attacking a navy barracks in Algeria in September 2007.

The suicide bomber Nabil Guacemi nicknamed Abu Musab Azarkaoui was confirmed dead in the attack but the Attorney General says he did not receive any death certificate.

His seven associates including the recruiter who are on the run got the same sentence.

In September 2007, some 28 people were killed and 50 were wounded when a car bomb went off on a navy barracks in the coastal town of Dellys (about 50 km east of Algiers).
