Algeria rejects “CIA” inquiry with Tiguentourine hostages

Algeria rejected a request by the United States of America, to allow the Central Intelligence Agency “CIA” to listen to the testimonies of the Algerian hostages who survive the attack on the gas base in Tiguentourine, in Ain Amenas in Illizi during mid-January 2013.

Algerian authorities rejected the CIA which sent a team to Algeria, to investigate in the attack, as investigators in the CIA asked Algeria to allow them to meet with Algerian workers who were taken hostages in Tiguentourine gas base by a terrorist organization on last January 16, to include their testimony in the investigation about the details of the case.

U.S. media reports, explained that Algeria has rejected Washington’s request under the pretext that the Algerian hostages are just ordinary victims who have anything to do with the terrorist organization which implemented the attack, and only gave them some of the  hearings by the national gendarmerie and military security for the workers who survived during the attack, and investigators only questioned three of the hostage-takers, and all of them are members of the group “Al Mouakioune Biddam” (blood signatories) which belong to the terrorist organization (al Qaeda) led by Belmokhtar.
