Algeria security: Combined security forces increase security alert grade for Aid period
The commands of the combined security forces body hast set up an Aid-Al-Adha special security plan. The implementation of the plan started last week and will wound-up at the end of the first half of the month. The plan is said to prevent cities and rural areas from being targeted by criminal acts. The plan includes the deployment of uniformless policemen and gendarmes (suburban police) in markets and public places.Echourouk’s sources that the Gendarmerie’s command along with the Police Department sent directives to all stations and basements in all the national territory instructing them to increase the grade of their alerts during the Aid-Al-Adha festivities. The way this should be implemented will be to increase numbers of patrol and on-field checks ordered the directive. The plan aims at securing with walking and vehicle patrols markets to which people flock in during this very period of time in the year including slaughters and cattle markets. The plan also includes securing mosques during Aid-Al-Adha prayer time especially to which millions of Algerians. Cemeteries visited by millions of Algerians during the same period will also be secured with reinforced security measures. .Suburban transport will also be monitored by security forces as people will be moving from the place they work in to the place they originate from to celebrate the Aid-Al-Adha festivities. To this effect, check points in and between towns and cities will be increased.
