Algeria to deliver 250,000 houses before the end of December
Algeria’s housing minister Abdelmadjine Teboune said 250,000 houses will be distributed before the end of December 2013 while about 650,000 houses will be announced this year. Applications will be submitted online on a special website.
“More than 250,000 houses will be distributed before the end of December 2013. Of them, 22,000 are built in Algiers,” Teboune told a news conference.
“Things are going in the right way although some hindrances in some projects due to unsettled lands as well as administrative hindrances. A total of 42,000 houses are pending due to settlement problem,” he added.
According to the minister, the most difficult phase in housing projects is the start time due to administrative hindrances. “I can not intervene when it is about analyzing lands. It is a complicated process followed by construction.”
People can apply for new housing projects in Algeria starting from September 15th. Applications will be submitted online.
