Algeria Foreign Ministry said it regrets the “unacceptable” audio message of Aisha, the daughter of late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, aired recently on the Syria based Al Rai TV.

Spokesman for the FM, Mr Amar Belani, said in a written statement “We regret such unacceptable statements,” adding that “Algeria condemns them, given it is the second time that Ms Aisha Gaddafi violates specifications of her humanitarian based staying in Algeria.”

Aisha spoke in an audio message aired on the Syria-based Al Rai TV on the occasion of the 40th day of the killing of her father Muammar Gaddafi.

She called on the Libyans to rebel against the new government, which “came on a NATO plane and stand on martyr skulls.”

Mr Belani said: “the Gaddfi family members are the guests of Algeria for a given time, as Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci affirmed it before; yet, we should learn the lesson from this new violation of reserve duty, to which the family is committed while in Algeria,” in reference to  measures which are likely to be taken against Aisha and her family members.
