Algerian ambassador to Tunisia Abdelkader Hadjar

The Algerian ambassador to Tunisia Abdelkader Hadjar has denied allegations made by some Tunisian political opponents, that that the suggestion made by the elders’ council made up of 16 national personalities with his encounter with the head of the Tunisian government Djabali.

The ambassador has yesterday declared to Echouorouk in a telephone conversation that there wasn’t any link between his meeting with Hamadi Djabali and the mentioned suggestion” Algeria has nothing to do with the issue and doesn’t interfere in the Tunisian internal affairs; it’s their suggestion and their own decision”.

 

The council,l includes several former politicians, lawyers, journalists and military men like Abdelfateh Morro, Hichem Djaatit, Mansour Maani, Hamouda ben Salama, Mustapha El- Fillali and Ahmed El- Mestiri.

 

All of them urged the members of the constituent assembly to fix a date for the completion of the new constitution and organization of elections.

 

According to reports, the party in power “ Enahdha” is looking for a consensual position with its Secretary General Hamadi Djabali in order to form a government which is et to be announced no later than the end of the week.

 

The Tunisian FM, a member of “Anahdha “ movement Rafik Abdeslem has indicated that his party is not against the proposal of appointing international investigators to inquire on the assassination of the political opponent Chokri Belaid.

 

Intervening on the Saudi satellite channel “ Al Arabya” Abdesslem said “ The parties that killed Chokri Belaid aim at spreading chaos in the country”, noting that Anahdha has nothing to gain in the killing of Chokri Belaid.
