Algerian Centre for DNA analysis succeeded in identifying suicide bombers
Since the opening of the Centre for DNA analysis at the scientific police headquarters in Chateau neuve, Algiers, the team of 35 experts in analysis succeeded in demonstrating their high efficiency within the first months of the 2004 opening, particularly when they identified the identity of the Algerian suicide bomber involved in Madrid bombings in Spain.

Spanish government were amazed and asked for their help. The laboratory of the DNA centre also identified the identity of a suicide bomber who implemented the terrorist operations since April 2007 as well as identity of a large number of victims.

The process of analysing DNA begun by taking samples from the place of crime and everything there such as hair, blood, teeth, cigarettes, remnants of bodies, cloths, or body fluids such as sperm, as well as things.
