Algerian customs stiffen control on oil refineries

The Algerian customs general directorate has resorted momentarily to suspend the issue of its annual balance sheet pertaining to the hydrocarbons exports until the completion of a batteries of measures designed to control the distribution channels

• The decision came in the event of the scandal of the export of the Algerian gas to the neighboring country Tunisia through “ Al Bourma” checkpoint without control.

• A correspondence signed by the Director General of the Algerian customs Abdou Bouderballa, to which Echourouk received a copy, over the scandal that broke out on September 2011, sheds light on “grave laxity” during the operation.

•  

• Firm instructions were issued summoning the regional directorate to stiffen control and remedy at earliest to the irregularities.
