Algerian forces kill 41 terrorists in less than two months

Algerian forces killed more than 41 terrorists in various regions since the beginning of 2009; most of them came from both Boumerdes and Tizi Ouzou provinces, east of Algiers, considered the main strongholds of the Salafist Group of Preaching and Combat known as “GSPC”. Among them there were also dangerous terrorists who have been wanted since more than 12 years by the security authorities and leaders in the terrorist group. 

• Army troops thwarted two suicide attacks and stopped a plan for the spread of the terrorist group in Metidja region, in Blida, central Algeria, and dismantled many cells for support and assigning.
• Statistics by Echorouk, about the number of terrorists who were killed by the Algerian forces since the beginning of 2009 until Friday in Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, east of Algeria, and Tebessa, Jijel and Constantine, east of Algeria, Biskra, south of Algeria, as well as Ain Defla, Blida and Medea, central Algeria, that the largest number were killed in themain strongholds of the GSPC in Boumerdes and Tizi Ouzou, and are important leaders and ancient terrorists because they begun their activities in the nineties, including “Omar Attitraoui” nicknamed “Abou Khoutheima”, leader of Al Fatah battalion who was killed in Boumerdes, then “Ahmed Belaid” nicknamed “Souleiman”, leader of the medical committee in Yesser, Touhami Souheil” nicknamed “Abou Houtheifa”, leader of Al Fatah battalion who was killed with four of his assistants in Bouzegza mountain, Boumerdes.
• The terrorist group resorted to improvisation and anarchical attacks in order to open lift the siege imposed by the Algerian forces in the central areas as well as to establish its presence by killing 27 civilians. A family in Tebessa was killed, including youngest four months, a 75 year-old woman and her forty year old son were killed in Sidi Belabbes as well. Then unarmed municipal guards were also killed in Jijel, east of Algeria, a gendarme in Ain Defla, west of Algiers, and four unarmed soldiers killed in Boumerdes.
