Algerian forces launch raids on terrorists’ strongholds to secure April elections

Algerian forces have stepped up their presence in many mountainous areas, particularly in the regions which recently noticed terrorist movements and attacks east and central Algeria. 

• APN forces spread in the main strongholds of the Salafist Group of Fight and Combat “GSPC” under the leadership of the so called Abdelamlek Droudkel.

• Echorouk sources said that the army command has strengthened the military plan which restricted movements of these terrorists in their main strongholds.

• The Algerian army troops also adopted the sudden and intensive shelling of many strongholds, as well as strikes on various areas under the framework of “pre-emptive and protective strikes” to ensure the citizens’ security during the next elections, after they were targeted in many suicide bombs by terrorists in the “Salafist Group”, who adopted the GIA’s approach.
