The current president of the Algerian Handball Federation, Habib Labane, will be nominated for the upcoming Olympic mandate 2021-2024, which electoral general assembly is scheduled to take place next April, noting that Habib Labane was elected president of the Algerian Handball Federation in April 2017 succeeding Said Bouhadja, Echorouk reliable sources said.

The same sources said that Labane aspires to carry out reforms within the periphery of the small ball, as he promised during his first term, the first of which will be the launch of the first national championship for handball professionals, the completion of the current season starting from next April 2, the French coach’s accompaniment to the first team Alain Portes, his assistants Taher Labane and Hicham Boudrali, and the national coach, Karim Bechkour, in anticipation of the upcoming elections that await the Algerian team, starting with the date of the Mediterranean Games that Oran will host in the summer of 2022.

Messaoud Barkous teammates will be on a date starting from March 12, with the qualifying round for the Tokyo Olympics that will take place in Germany, in which the national team will participate in its group along with Sweden, Slovenia and Germany, noting that the same sources confirmed that the national team will launch a closed training camp at the end of the month in the French capital, Paris, in preparation for the Olympics, where the technical staff will focus on the physical and tactical side to play the next match in Berlin in the best circumstances.
