Algerian Human Rights League Chairman writes to Bouteflika over coercive legislative measures
The Algerian Human Rights League has called on the president Abdelaziz Bouteflika to review the civil and administrative law so as to enable the low class categories to go to justice for their rights, considering that the latest revisions made on the mentioned law “have prevented the most vulnerable from going to justice for their rightsâ€.
- The chairman of the league Boudjemaa Guechir has addressed the president in a letter saying” The law governing the civil and administrative measures issued by the justice ministry has slammed the door on the face of the deprived citizens and impeded them to go to justice because it includes several financial constraints discouraging even those who can afford it to go to the court”.
- Boudjemaa Guechir went on saying in his letter” the Algerian citizen has suffered a lot during the colonial era , and is looking forward for more justice and partiality in the free Algeria under legal provisions that enable him to cherish the benefits included in the law and the protection of the legislative institution”.
