Algerian legislators : El- Queddafi’s execution cast doubt over the future Libyan justice
The International Human Rights Associations have expressed their outrage at the “barbarous†execution of the former Libyan ruler Moammar El- Queddafi by the revolutionaries.
-
The Algerian experts have indicated that his killing after being arrested alive is regarded as a war crime and a clear infringement to Geneva treaty, noting that El Queddafi was a war prisoner and had to be treated accordingly.
-
-
The chairman of the National consultative Council for the Promotion of Human Rights, Mustapha Farouk Kessentini has considered the execution of Moammar El- Queddafi with such cruelty as crime, noting that a war prisoner should receive medical treatements in case of injury and a fair trial in keeping with the international laws.
-
-
M Kessentini has further added that his execution is a clear violation of Human Rights especially that he was injured .
-
-
For his part, the Head of the Algerian Human Rights Association, Boudjemaa Guechir has asserted that the Geneva’s treaty over war prisoners consider the execution of Moamamr El- Queddafi as a war crime.
-
-
He further indicated that the National Transitional Council should bring before the court those responsible for this heinous act especially that El – Queddafi was, according to the pictures, injured and isolated.
-
-
A communiqué released by the Geneva-based International Network for Human Rights and Development the posting of the pictures over the humiliation of Moamamr – El Queddafi on the satellite channels is unprofessional.
-
-
These practices pave the way for other values that contradict Human Rights principles, the communiqué adds.
