Algerian-Libyan cooperation to scale up regional stability – Min. Abdulal

Libyan interior minister Fawzi Abdulal on a working visit to Algeria said Tuesday the strengthening of cooperation between Tripoli and Algiers would boost stability in the region as well as in the world at large.

• In remarks made during talks in Algiers with his Algerian counterpart Mr Daho Ould Kablia, Mr Fawzi Abdulal called for more combined efforts to be deployed in order to guarantee the security of both Libya and Algeria through stepped up surveillance of the two countries’ border crossings. 
• He said the new Libyan authorities’ policy was based on common trust and mutual cooperation with their Algerian counterparts.
• The visiting Libyan interior minister also stressed his country’s readiness to further enhance cooperation with Algeria in the security and economic fields. 
• Mr Fawzi Abdulal further indicated that Algeria’s fruitful experience embodied by the smooth implementation of the charter for peace and national reconciliation would be thoroughly examined in Libya in a bid to heal the wounds of war waged against the former Kadhafi regime and foster an unalloyed unity and solidarity of the Libyan people beyond any rift or division.
