Algerian Minister of Vocational Training : The Vocational training sector seeks to prevent Algeria from becoming a foreign gateway

The Algerian Minister of Vocational training and professional education, El Hadi Khaldi, reveales to Echorouk in this exclusive interview, that the Ministries of the National Education and Solidarity joined worked in coordination to implement the President’s instruction, which included the integration of the national tragedy victims into the vocational training sector, as well as the inclusion of preparatory sections for the rehabilitation of people who are bellow the fourth average, as well as the coordination with the various sectors to open new fields and specializations.

  • *Echorouk: Could you give us Mr. Minister some clarifications concerning the application of the instruction that was issued by the President Bouteflika recently, which included opening up vocational training centers for the victims of the national tragedy, who had never been at schools?

  • *Minister: Both the Ministry of the National Education and Solidarity worked in coordianation to help those victims, I.e young people who have never been at schools, because of the bad security environment Algeria experienced.The Ministry of the National Education  worked, through the National Bureau of Omitting Literacy, to teach them who to read and write, while the Ministry of Solidarity ensured the provision of the necessary means to implement this program.

  • *Echorouk: But how will the Ministry of Education contribute in this program, and whether your organization will lift the number of centers to receive all the victims?

  • *Minister: We agreed with the Minister of the National Education, Abou Bakr Ben Bouzide, to coordinate between the National Office and the Vocational Training Departments to stop Literacy across the provinces and put a special program.
