Algerian MPs to Visit Benghazi to Look Into the Rebels’ Mercenary Accusations

Deputy Head of the People’s National Assembly, Ahmed Latifi, revealed on Thursday that a parliamentary delegation initiated by the MSP party, is visiting, newt week, Benghazi city, in Libya, to look closely into the issue of the alleged Algerian mercenaries detained by rebels there.

 

 

The delegation to comprise representatives of several parties and independent MPS, Mr Latifi added. 

He specified that the MPS will inspect prisons in Benghazi which allegedly hold Algerian mercenaries, in addition to look into the repercussions of the foreign military intervention there, which Algeria is still rejecting. 

Mr Latifi further added that the members of the National Transitional Council have already started procedures to receive the Algerian delegation which is due to travel on a private flight from Tunis airport to Benghazi.
