Algerian national football coach calls on the fans to be patient with Mehdi Lahcen

On the sidelines of his visit to “Echourok” newsroom, the Algerian squad head coach Rabah Saadane has declared that the selection’s doors are wide open for all the players who express the will to join the “Greens” provided that they prove fittest than those already shortlisted.

• Rabah Saadane has stressed on the case of the Santander’s (Spain) midfielder Mehdi Lahcen whom he announced an eventual selection in the nearest future. However, he was comprehensive concerning the player’s attitude arguing that nobody knows the real reasons behind his refusal to join the “Greens”.
• Nonetheless, the coach didn’t seem to bear the layer a grudge” There are maybe reasons that forced him not to join us”, he commented. He called on the fans to be more indulgent, arguing that Lahcen will certainly play for the national squad either under his guidance or another coach.

• In a declaration to the radio, Rabah Saadane has indicated that the “Greens” proved their superiority in their group during the final round of the qualifiers to the World Cup. Though the Algerian squad possesses the best defense of the group, Rabah Saadane didn’t exclude some weak points especially the lack of coherence in the front adding that he will work for improving the strikers’ efficiency pending the last match versus Egypt.
• Reacting to the former Egyptian international striker’s declarations,  Rabah Saadane added “ I don’t care about Hosseim’s declarations neither about the Egyptian squad’s internal affairs, all I’m concerned about is my team and the best way to prepare it for the next match versus Rwanda, afterwards we can talk about Egypt”.
• “ The Egyptians finally understood that the world cup is out of reach for them that’s why they are trying to put more pressure on us, they were expecting a setback versus Zambia. They have to beat them first then and we’ll talk afterwards” , he added.
