Algerian nationals in Switzerland pressure for the departure of the consul general

Several officials along with employees at the Algerian consulate in Geneva, Switzerland, expressed their outrage at the “ill -treatment” they are facing from the council general Ibrahim Younes.

•  They reproach him his mismanagement and arbitrary ways in dealing with their administrative affairs, seizing this opportunity to call on the Algerian FM to replace him at earliest by another consul likely to live up at their expectations.

• A number of officials have made public in a communiqué, to which Echourouk received a copy, various cases of mismanagement that outraged them and pushed them to storm his office after his denial to forward their passports.

•  

• They have asserted that the consul general uses to exit from the consulate’s backdoor in order to avoid meeting the Algerian nationals. They have also reproached him of despising the martyrs’ and war veterans’ sons including the son of the hero of the revolution, colonel Lotfi, who is marginalized in the archives room and not summoned to the briefings.

• The consul didn’t hesitate to ill- treat top officials who took part to the last presidential elections as volunteers giving thus, a dim picture, of the Algerian diplomacy.

• Trying to have the other version of facts from the consul general, we have tried to contact M Ibrahim Younes but he was out of reach.
