Algerian Nationals Live Abroad, Die Home!

It seems Algeria has turned into the graveyard of nationals living abroad, who once getting old and about to die return home carrying their coffins on their shoulders to die here and ultimately buried in the land of their ancestors.

Those nationals, one said, do remember their mother country only at the moment of their death, but when it comes to bring their children to life, they do it abroad, in Europe. 

According to head of regional council of Islam in France, 90% of Algerian nationals living there recommend in their testimony to be buried in their homeland, given that French authorities order burning dead corps after a certain period from burial. 

On the other hand, other Algerians do their best to bring to life their kids in foreign hospitals, in France or Canada, thinking that by doing so they attribute a sort of “immunity” to their children: the EU or Canadian citizenship! 

Many girls, now, “dream” of getting married to nationals living abroad. They accept marrying even with very old people, just to fulfill their wish of bringing children to life in Europe.

Some others, accurately, “programme” their pregnancy in a way that it coincides with their trip to Europe or to a Western country, as to bring the baby there and ultimately being attributed a foreign citizenship which could be useful in the future!
