The Syrian Free Army has urged foreign nationals to flee the strife torn Middle Eastern country as soon as possible, as airports are to be targeted by 15 March, to cut the way on pro regime top officials intending to flee the country.

Amar al-Ouaoui, Secretary General of the Syrian Free Army told Echorouk reporter, Assia Chalabi, that accurate information leaked from the Syrian regime indicates that a couple of top officials are going to flee Syria.

Mr al-Ouaoui specified that “We have set 15 March as an ultimatum for foreign nationals to leave the country, because by then we are going to start bombarding airports which have become legitimate target, and ultimately deter pro regime officials from fleeing the country.”

Echorouk reporter tried several times to get in touch with the Embassy of Algeria in Damascus to have more details on the situation of Algerian nationals there, but nobody was reachable by phone.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese al-Diar newspaper quoted “well informed” source from Syria as saying that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has signed a military secret note comprising the method of riposting to an imminent US air raid on the country.

The newspaper added that in case Syria endured any air attack from the US, pro al-Assad forces would launch immediate attacks against Israeli and US navy targets.

The source added that the Syrian regime has set up a joint military unit made of officers from the Syrian Army, Iranian Army and Hezbollah militia.
