Algerian official in Dublin: The presence of the Algerian national squad in Dublin is an exceptional event

The chairman of the High Council of the Algerian community in England and Ireland, Moussa Bougherra has asserted that coming of the Algerian football national team to Dublin is considered as the most outstanding event for this community since 30 years, indicating that the Greens have received an exceptional welcome at the airport and all the Algerians established there were happy to see Saadane and His team.

• Bougherra: There is no word to qualify the welcome reserved to the Greens on Thursday in Dublin; the atmospheres were good and sometimes moving because the Algerian community in Dublin, which is estimated at 3500, missed a lot their national team that spread joy in or hearts after their qualification to the World cup.

• Echourok:  Did you schedule a special program for them during their stay here in Dublin?

• Bougherra: We have to let the national squad prepare their match versus Ireland and do not spoil their concentration, that’s why we preferred to let them lone at the Radisson Hotel. We have offered a symbolic present to the Greens, a crystal cup, before his departure to the stadium on Friday. The present is offered by the Algerian ambassador to London his Excellency Mohammed Salah Dambri.

• Bougherra: Actually, the Irish are a peaceful people everybody was happy to the coming of the Algerian national squad especially that they are qualified to the World cup. I think that visit will pave the way for a future cooperation between the two countries in the field of sport, and make us think about inviting other Algerian teams in the future.
