Algerian products to enter the European markets
The next REAGE Economic Forum to be held in Paris next November, will present Algeria.

Among these new pioneers, there are Cevital and NCA Rouiba. The businessman Aghiles Rebrab has created the company DjazaGreen in partnership with the former Algerian restaurateur, Ahmed Boumezbeur, who worked with the giant British Food chain “Gerard”.

The distribution of these Algerian products is assured by Karim Bessaleh. Among the partners of Djazagreen who joined in the hexagonal of the group George Helfer, a specialist in the importation, storage and distribution of fruits and vegetables, which are imported from overseas.

DjazaGreen will soon open offices in Rotterdam and London. The latter was housed on October 21 and 22, as many Algerian producers participated in the World Fruit and Vegetable Show.

Algeria has imported more than $3.6 billion of food products in 2004.

Between 2003 and 2004, the amount of Algerian imports of food reached $2.5 to $3.6 billion, an increase of approximately 45% ($1.1 billion) in one year.

The main food products that have been imported by Algeria in 2008 are 51% cereals, 17% milk and derivatives, 6% sugar, 4% coffee and tea, 3% dried vegetables and meats up to 2%.
