Algerians Mark Wednesday Support Sit In For the Syrian Revolution
The Algerian Committee for the Support of the Syrian People (ACSSP), in coordination with Echorouk and humanitarian association of Al-Islah wa Al-Irshad, holds Wednesday evening a sit-in in the People’s House, downtown Algiers, in solidarity with the Syrian Revoltion, organizers said.
A couple of days ago, the ACSSP got the green light of the Foreign Ministry to hold the sit-in, which is to be devoted for raising fund and aids for the Syrian populations who fled the pro Assad army’s crackdowns on revolution hot spots.
The organizers told Farida Lakehel of Echorouk that they are quite confident that Algerians would come massively to the sit-in to show their support to the liberty seeking revolution in the Middle Eastern violence-ridden nation.
The deteriorating conditions of the Syrian suffering refugees in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan, urged the organizers to speed up the process of sending humanitarian aids, noting that the humanitarian association of Al-Islah wa Al-Irshad (Reform and Guidance) has already sent a load of food and clothes to Syrian refugee camps in Antakya and Hatay in Turkey.
