Algerians overcame their fear; celebrate the Prophet Mohamed’s Birth in Paris streets
Members of the Algerian community in France were able to break the barrier of fear that dominated them since the last events of Paris, where they returned to practice their daily lives normally and celebrate their religious celebrations along the lines with the rest of Muslims in the word.
Algerian expatriates did not miss the opportunity in France to celebrate the birth of Prophet Mohamad which coincided this year with the birth of Christ celebration.
Head of the Anti-Islamophobia French Observatory, Abdallah Zekri, said that Muslims invaded, in the last days the streets of Paris and its markets to celebrate this occasion, where they bought candles and nuts and some other staff to prepare dinner and supplies in preparation for the celebration in a family atmosphere comparable to which they are accustomed to at homeland.
Zekri added that they held a meeting with the official in charge of guard and demanded to secure mosques during the celebrations of the anniversary of the birth of Mohamed (PBUH), which are the same assurances which they obtained from the Interior Minister during a meeting with officials of various religions, who pledged to deploy security agents, gendarmerie, armed forces and the heavily guarded mosques during celebrations the birth of Islam’s Prophet Mohamad (PBUH), and the churches during the celebration of the birth of Christ on Friday.
“All the French mosques prepared for the occasion and placed in advance a program for the celebration, which will begin on Wednesday and will continue until Saturday, which is a holiday. In Paris mosque religious bands were brought from the state of Ghardaia specially to mark the occasion, as different activities in different mosques and potential will take place. Fear that was an obsession for the Algerian community after the Paris bombings have faded and they returned to their daily lives as normal.”
