September 17,2011 was a normale Day

Algiers- Once again the efforts of those who called for a revolution on September 17 failed to attract Algerians for an uprising in the street, and incitement to the outbreak of what they called the Day of Algerian Revolution was futile.

September 17 was a normal day like all other days, by contrast, the alleged events did not know a media attention to the extent that was promoted a weeks before in the social networks.

Echorouk paid a tour through Algiers streets, starting from the 1st May square to Hassiba Ben Bouali and Central Post through the Martyrs Square, but no changes or riots were noticed, but rather from that, everything was normal. All citizens were acquiring their daily goods from the shops; others were sitting in cafes and restaurants because it’s the week end in Algeria.

There was no security intensification similar to that experienced on Said Saadi’s and CNCD’s “Saturdays’ marches”.

Some citizens told Echorouk that they will not get caught up in the trap of those calling for sowing confusion in the country, asserting that the stability that characterized Algeria compared to its neighbors , raised the ire of merchants of sedition who do not hunt only in troubled water, and feel uncomfortable with Algeria’s strength to hit manipulators who started with raising the policy of creating problems relying on the social network “Facebook” as a means to achieve their goals after they have won support of revolutions’ fans especially in Libya, Egypt and Tunisia.
