Algerians victim of unreal migration process
A number of Algerian consulates in France were involved in using consular identification cards of Algerians living in France in international migration process without their knowing, said Coordinator of Algerian Citizens’ Movement in France, Omar Ait Mokhtar.
The consulates transferred properties worth 20,000 Euros which are offered to Algerians living abroad every five years. The consular cards were used in buying cars and bringing them to Algeria through the Port of Marseille. Employees in consulates and customs were involved, Ait Mokhtar told Echorouk.
He added that the Algerian general consulate in Paris received complaints from tens of Algerians about surprising migration and money transfers. They were told by consulate employees that they could not renew their consular cards as they migrated. “Yet, none of those Algerians migrated.”
“Police station in Paris opened an investigation and started making inventory of registration document of cars which were exported to Algeria as part of migration.”
Ait Mokhtar said the movement will fill a lawsuit to unveil the cheating act.
He believes that this act can not be committed without the help of consulate employees. “They gave consular cards of Algerian citizens without their knowing.”
He also said chairman of the Algerian Migration Council Mohand Barche was among people who lodged complaints. He was told he migrated and was offered 20,000 Euros in form of equipments he had brought to Algeria.
According to Ait Mokhtar, the Algerian general consulate in Paris “begged Barche to not speak out about his case as it was a mistake which will be corrected.”
