Algeria snubbed to host former Intelligence Head Abdellah Senoussi before being captured, well informed source revealed to Echorouk reporter.

The right hand of assassinated Muamar Gaddafi fled Libya to Mali, after the fall of Tripoli in the hand of revolutionaries. He was arrested a couple of days ago in Mauritania. The source said Algeria rejected a request made by anonymous mediator to offer refuge to the running away Libyan officer, adding that the snub was meant to send a reassuring message to the Libyan Transitional Council (NTC) that Algiers is committed not to receive any pro Gaddafi regime officials. However, Algeria was due to receive family members of Gaddafi “on humanitarian concerns”, authorities said.
