An expatriate in France opposed a court order in absentia issued against him by the Dar El Beida Criminal Court, which convicted him earlier to life imprisonment for the crime of possessing, selling and exporting hard drugs illegally.
In France, along with his two brothers, they used a restaurant as a cover for the promotion of various drugs, including cocaine, which was secured by a French national, and these drugs were brought and exported secretly to Algeria.
According to the decision of the transfer of the accused, the latter has already been heavily sentenced by the French justice in absentia, and issued several international arrest warrants against him.
The French police had spotted the illicit activities of the accused, named “Ali” and his movements in France.
Accompanied by two brothers, namely Mehdi and Yacine, they used the family restaurant and a den for the promotion of cannabis and cocaine. Following this, extensive security investigations were launched into the criminal case.
The main suspect had spearheaded an organized drug trafficking ring with the help of his two brothers.
The two suspects confessed to their nefarious activities together with their brother in the forbidden trade.
The ensuing prosecution by the Algerian justice and the imposition of a life sentence against him occurred after the defendant fled from France to his homeland where he stayed for a period of time before being arrested by security services and brought before justice to answer for his criminal misdeeds alongside his accomplices.
