Customs services have set tough control measures over land borders, ports and airports to anticipate any attempt to the leaking of Israeli dates yielded in settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
A well informed source told Echorouk reporter that Customs have got accurate information about the attempt of an Israeli company to export some food stuffs to Algeria, including dates, ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, where the demand on this particular sweet fruit increases.
The source further specified that the Israeli company tends to export the dates under the name of Arab companies, based especially in Jordan, to deceive authorities.
