A delegation of 30 protesters from Ain Salah (Southern Algeria), will visit Algiers, during the next few hours upon an invitation from the President’s Office, in order to get explanations of the content of the president’s decision, about stopping shale gas project, especially the word that is contained in the resolution’s decision, in the near future, and discuss the decision that protesters said it is vague and ambiguous.

Delegation consists of experts in the field of exploration, in addition to the Mujahideen (war veterans), dignitaries and representatives of civil society.
Sources, which reported the news, said that this step is an attempt to lift the confusion about the president’s decision to stop shale gas project in the near future, without specifying a particular date for stopping it, which was considered by many protesters a dodge by the authorities, in order to gain more time to complete the drilling of the second well, which entered its final phase, according to one of the experts who visited the site during the drilling operation last week.
On the other hand, representatives of the protesters, called upon the Maj. Gen. Abdelghani Hamel, General Manager of National Security, to stop the “security restrictions” on protests, especially Thursday’s peaceful rally, despite the peaceful nature of these rallies and protests, as despite the passage of a month since launching the sit-in,  no cases of violence or assault by protesters have been registered on people and properties.
In the same context, supporters arrived from Laghouat, Djelfa and Baiad provinces, to join the sit-in yard, and declared their solidarity with Ain Salah protesters against shale gas project.
