AQIM Claims Responsibility of Bordj Menaiel Double Suicide Attacks
Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) has claimed on Tuesday responsibility of the double suicide attacks that hit the locality of Bordj Meaniel, in Boumerdes province, on last Saturday.
According to the SITE Inteligence Group, which is close to jihadist websites, said on Tuesday that AQIM has claimed responsibility of the Bordj Menaiel suicide attacks.
The source specified that AQMI mentioned in a statement aired on several jihadist websites that the so called Hamza Abu Omar perpetuated the first attack against a police station on board of a car loaded with explosives, in Bordj Menaiel.
Another militant called Abu Muadh Sharhabil riding a motorcycle loaded with explosives perpetuated another attack on the same place, the statement added.
“May Allah accept them as martyrs and sends them to paradise, » the statement said, adding that the attacks « killed 15 apostates and injured 20 others.”
To recall, a double suicide attack perpetuated last Saturday in Bordj Menaiel locality had killed two police officers and injured 15 others, including civilians and police officers.
