Army Troops Rescue Affected Populations in 20 Provinces Blocked by Snow

Troops of the National Army have rushed for the help and rescue of trapped people in 20 provinces isolated by heavy snowfall.

 

The Commandment of the National Army has ordered its troops to supply isolated populations with food, blankets, fuel and heater gas, and evacuate those trapped to take care of them inside military barracks until the freezing wave moves away.

Army troops have managed re opening blocked roads with snowplow trucks; installing several medical first aids points along the affected areas, and supplying affected populations with warm food, blankets and gas.

The major areas that saw the humanitarian intervention of the army are: Medea, Tizi Ouzou, Blida, Boumerdes, in the centre; Ain Defla, Tissemssilt, Tiaret, Belabes, Tlemcen, Mascara, El-Beyedh, Relizene, in the west;  Constantine, Setif, Annaba and Jijel in the east.   

It is not the first time that the Army comes for the help of the affected populations in the time of disasters.
