An Algerian national was beaten out of Algeria’s Consulate doors in the French city, Marseille, after he went with his wife to get a biometric passport in order to travel to Algeria and launch an investment project in the homeland, as his nose was broken by a consular assistant who punched him directly in the face.

The victim, preferred not to reveal his name, for fear of damaging his passport’s file and block it in drawers, told Echorouk, in a phone conversation, that the agent of the consular assistant, who is called Houcine, punched him in the face and broke his nose causing a severe injury and bleeding, only because he asked him not to rebuke an old woman who was in the service of civil status.

The victim filed a complaint to Marseille police and he was presented to the coroner of the French police services, who gave him a disability to work for Eight days, according to the document, which copy is available to Echorouk, and a copy of the rays that prove the double fracture of the immigrants’ nose.

French police report is dated on last December, 4, N° 2015/039340, but the assault took place inside Algeria’s consulate in Marseille at the address, 363 rue Paradis, Marseille, 8e Arrondissement, Bouches du Rhone, which was enclosed with the words “Algerian Consulate”.

Association of the two banks’ Algerians and their friends “ADRA” condemned the attack on the Algerian national at Marseille Consulate, noting that the Algerians are humiliated in various consulates in order to obtain the necessary documents.

ADRA’ s Head told Echorouk that there is a terrible lack in the staff of the Algerian consulate services in France, pointing out that the Foreign Affairs’ Ministry has dispatched 100 new employees from contractors, while the actual protests reach up to 300 employees or more, especially in light of the travel ban without biometric passports.
