Boubekeur Benbouzid: “1.000 French Language Teachers Enrolled for Algeria's Deep South”
The Algerian government has decided to recruit over a thousand French language teachers for the benefit of five provinces of the south of the country, the National Education Minister Boubekeur Benbouzid announced on Thursday in Algiers.
- Speaking to the press outside a plenary session of the National Popular Assembly, Mr Benbouzid said that the move was designed to offset the striking deficit on the matter registered over the past years in the remote southern regions of the country.
- Most big provinces of Algeria’s South including Tamanrasset, Adrar, Illizi and Bechar will witness the recruitment shortly of enough French language teachers in their primary and secondary schools, Mr Benbouzid explained.
- The National Education Minister added that numerous Algerian University graduates who secured a degree in the teaching of the French language had willingly accepted the enticing offers, in terms of monthly salary and on the spot decent accommodation made to them by the relevant ministerial department for a permanent teaching job in the southern provinces of the country.
