Bouira: A Shiite Sect smears the Companions of the Holy Prophet and his Wife Aicha

Well informed sources revealed to Echorouk that over 40 people have adopted chiism as a religious rite over the past few years in the province of Bouira in eastern Algeria.

• After a protracted investigative mission, Echorouk has succeeded in finding the whereabouts of one of the cheikhs of chiism in a rural area of the eastern province of Bouira.

• After several fruitless attempts, Echorouk finally managed to meet last April with one of the persons having adopted this religious trend calling himself Abou Aymen.

• Asked about the reasons which prompted him to adopt chiism, he explained to us that this was due to the scathing criticism leveled by the Wahabite movement against this chiite sect.

• “My quest for truth started in 2009. After having read a lot about chiism, I finally decided to adopt it as a religion”, Abou Aymen said.

• The latter explained to us that the sect of the 12 Imams argues that the prophet’s cousin and companion Ali Ben Abi Taleb was better entitled for the Califa (or succession of the Prophet) than Aboubakr Essedik, Omar Ibn El Khettab and Othmane Ibn Afane.

• On the contrary, the Sunni Muslims fully recognize the Califa.

• The chiites believe that Prophet Mohamed (God’s peace and blessings be upon him) designated on several occasions Ali as his successor thereby making of him the spiritual guide of the Muslims, according to them.

• The chiites of the province of Bouira are not different from the other chiites of the world.

• They unfortunately denigrate the companions of the holy Prophet and disparage his wife Aïcha.

• It should be noted that chiism constitutes one of the three main branches of Islam with sunnism.

• It brings together about 15% of Muslims, 90% of them are Iranians.
