Bouteflika Congratulates Mohamed VI Without Evoking Closed Border Issue

President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has congratulated Morocco King Mohamed VI over the celebration of the 12th throne feast anniversary, without however, evoking the issue of the re opening of the closed border between the two North African neighbouring nations.

 

“I can only be happy over the renaissance path that Morocco is witnessing under your reign, notably through the achievements which have accompanied it, benefiting, thus, your noble people,” President Bouteflika said in a letter sent to Morocco King. 

Mr President has further hailed the symbiosis and cohesion among different components and backgrounds of the Moroccan people, while approuving in a massive majority the new Constitution and the reforms “which you’ve launched in bid to put your country on the track of change and democracy, in addition to collective participation and good governance.” “Such ideals,” said Mr Bouteflika, “are part of aspirations of peoples, of our region, for better management of their affairs and for the safeguard of their historic, cultural, civilization and religious constants.”

Mr Bouteflika has further praised the good bilateral relations between Algeria and Morocco, in recent years, highlighted in the mutual visits of ministers of both countries, stressing on his full disposal “to set more fraternal bridges for more cooperation and good neighbourhood, permitting the building of exemplary bilateral relations in the interests of peoples of the two countries linked with common historic bounds and common challenges in the future.”
