Britain granted 15.000 visas for Algerians in 2010, Ambassador Martin Robert says

Volume of the British investments in Algeria between the first four months of 2010 and 2011 rose by 87%, reflecting the will of the two countries in tightening their ties in various areas, the British Ambassador to Algeria Martin Robert said here on Wednesday during his visit to Constantine (east of Algeria).

 

 The British Ambassador explained that 15.000 visas were granted to Algerians who wished to enter the UK in 2010, adding that study of requests for visas takes 15 days maximum.

 

During his presence at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry “Rhumel” in Constantine (east of Algeria), the head of the room Suissi Djamel said that the economic operators in the city are hoping to intensify the economic ties with the UK, noting that the pharmaceutical and electronic industry and health are among areas that need a British partnership.

 

The British ambassador told Echorouk that establishing a British Cultural Center in Constantine (east of Algeria) is possible, as it was done in Oran (west of Algeria) where there is a space for English-Language training for teachers, under the supervision of British Professors.
