Bursars Threaten to Rally Near President Office in September
Minister of Education has announced that the contest to recruit bursars is set for 6 and 7 September, meanwhile national coordination for bursars has decided to rally near the President Office on the same period.
In case the bursars maintained their strike on the aforementioned period, then the needy pupils would not be able to be granted the State 3000 DZD aid, as bursars are the officials in charge of drawing up the list of pupils in need of that finacial aid in each school.
This protest move has been prompted by the indefference of authorities to the bursars claims, despite the recurrent meetings held so far between the two sides.
The bursars strike is likely to coincide with the strike of teachers, which trade union has decided boycotting the inauguration of upcoming school year.
In fact, the teachers have decided to raise a list of claims, including reviewing the scale of bonus and compensations, as the last compensations they were granted have been spent in paying back debts they owe.
