Cabinet to meet before the end of August

President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika told the Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, that the Council of Ministers, which will free up a list of bills that are reserved at the General Secretariat of the Government, will hold a meeting before the end of the month, during the next two weeks.

At the time the President did not authorize the Ministers’ annual holiday, he orders the preparation of a good social entry in order to ensure calm of the social front.

Echorouk sources said that the Council of Ministers, that faced long talk, before the President started the therapeutic journey in Paris and after his return to Algeria on July 16, will hold a meeting before the end of the month of August, within the next 12 days. 

Same sources added that It is expected, that the Council of Ministers will discuss 14 bills, together with a draft finance law for the current year, and a number of international conventions and treaties that need the president’s approval, but these texts do not need the Council of Ministers approval, compared to the draft Complementary Finance Act 2013, which is very urgent.

 According to Echorouk sources, the urgency of the draft finance law, derived from two reasons which are time. So, since the resumption of the legislative session of Parliament, by the beginning of next September, will threaten to pass the complementary finance bill, as required by legislation between the two sessions, and the factor which makes the draft finance law more than emergent, which is the series of the socio – economic decisions that were announced by Sellal for young people, and the additional financial envelope which was allocated for the development programs in the cities which he visited and which remain stuck without embodiment until the ratification of the complementary finance bill.

President of the Republic, who scored the fourth presence since his illness on last April 27, by receiving the Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, last Wednesday, and Chief of Staff of National People’s Army, Gaid Saleh, on Thursday, is committed to hold the meeting of the Cabinet to avoid obstruction and partial paralysis of some institutions, which the month of Ramadan and the summer vacation period prevented its embodiment, but the social, school and university entry require some sort of kinetic and dynamic to go out of the “vacuum”, or the white stage in the national arena.
