CAF’s Final Warning To Cameroon May Bring Back The Name Of Algeria Strongly

In order to host the Cup of African Nations finals in summer 2021, the name of Algeria has come out strongly to compensate Cameroon.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has given Cameroonian authorities until June, to complete the construction and renovation of the stadiums and facilities for the hosting of the CAN 2021, or to deprive the country of the right to host the continental football championship.

This came in the statements of the representatives of the African Football Confederation, which they made to the Cameroonian media, having been dispatched by the chairman Ahmed Ahmed in the last few days to this country, to inspect the stadiums and facilities of the 2021 Cup of African Nations.

This deadline is a final warning before the green light is granted to Cameroon to organize the CAN 2021, or to be compensated by another country, knowing that the CAF has warned Cameroonian authorities several times since 2017.

Previously, the Algerian Youth and Sports Minister, Raouf Salim Bernaoui, recently stated on more than one occasion that the CAF officials have included an alternative and a reserve plan for Algeria to compensate Cameroon in hosting the CAN in the summer of 2021, if the country delays in the construction and renovation of the stadiums and facilities of the continental football championship.
