Canadian lawyer to stand before Algerian Justice next April
The court of Sidi M’hamed in central Algiers will consider April 7 the case of fraud and embezzelment nvolving a Canadian lawyer who owns an office for legal advice about immigration to Canada.

His victims reached more than 15 people who were yearning for immigration to Canada. They argue that they gave the defendant money in 2004 but he later fled without giving any explanations.

The victims got into contact with the first Canadian federal minister of Quebec, the former Canadian minister of immigration, the Canadian parliament, the Association of Quebec lawyers as well as Canadian human rights organizations, and because they published their bona-fide grievances in the press, the former Canadian ambassador in Algeria discharged these lawyers who are also mediators.
