The FIFA officialized the victory of Charafeddine Amara in the elections for the presidency of the Algerian Football Federation “FAF”, succeeding Kheireddine Zetchi.

This decision means that Charafeddine Amara was awarded the green light by the highest body in the world that governs and regulates football affairs, so he can start his duties with ease.
Some members of the Algerian football federation expressed their concerns about the possibility of “FIFA” punishing the Algerian Football Federation, due to forcing the Ministry of Youth and Sports to organize the electoral general assembly last Thursday. Whereas, former President Kheireddine Zetchi was calling for the date to be delayed until next May.
Now, Charafeddine Amara can amend the “FAF” regulations in line with the provisions of the FIFA, and then proceed to implement the promises he made on the eve of the elections.
