Chinese universities announced the opening of their doors for Algerian students who wish to pursue their studies abroad by allocating scholarships for this purpose in conjunction with the upcoming university season 2020-2021, within the framework of a cooperation program between Algeria and China, and in this regard, the Chinese Embassy in Algeria revealed the allocation of scholarships for students who are wishing to prepare master’s and doctorate degrees in China.
The scholarship that is provided by the Chinese government – according to the embassy statement – which copy is available to Echorouk, includes registration and accommodation fees for university residence and health insurance, and a monthly amount of approximately 400 euros, provided that the student enjoys good health and does not exceed 35 for those wishing to register for Masters and 40 for those wishing to register for a PhD.
“The initial registration process will start from the period of January 1 until March 31, 2020, on the website of the Chinese Scholarship Council, knowing that the training in Chinese universities is done in both Chinese or English, depending on the speciality and the university, while students who wish to study in the Chinese language benefit from intensive training in the Chinese language that extends from one to two years”.
“In this regard, students who wish to pursue their studies at the level of a Chinese university can create a file that includes a copy of a Bachelor’s degree attached with an official translation into the English language for those wishing to register in the Masters and a copy of the licence graduation or Masters certificates attached with an official translation into the English language for those who wish to register for a PhD”.
In this context, the statement indicated that the translated certificate should be translated and certified at the level of the Algerian Foreign Ministry and the Chinese Embassy in Algeria.
“The student who is registered in the third year of a Licence degree can also nominate for study in the Masters, and the student who is registered in the second year of Master can nominate to study in the doctoral program by submitting an administrative certificate that is issued by the university stating that the concerned person will obtain the certificate at the end of the university season. The file also includes a copy of the school report of the university years accompanied by an official translation into the English language, and it is best to verify the school report card and translation at the level of the Algerian Foreign Ministry and the Chinese Embassy in Algeria”.
As for the research project, it should be edited in English in about 800 words, and the student should attach two letters of recommendation that are issued by two English language professors, while students of plastic arts and music should send a CD containing two works. As for the medical examination form, it should be completed, signed and stamped by a doctor and the student’s photo should be the stamped in the form, and the student should maintain the original form and a copy should be sent with the file.
The statement of the Chinese embassy indicated that if the student does not possess a certificate of the English language proficiency “TOEFL” and other knowledge, he/she can attach a certificate of control in the English language that is issued by the intensive training institutes in the languages which are issued by Algerian universities.
The form, which is loaded after completing the registration, is sent via the website, attached to the documents mentioned in two copies, to the university’s foreign students office, which was chosen, noting that most Chinese universities set the day of April 1 of each year as the last date for receiving the files.
