Core countries discuss ways of combatting terrorism and poverty
Algiers- Foreign Ministers the core countries (Algeria-Mali-Mauritania-Niger) met Wednesday for a unified approach to address the phenomenon of terrorism and transnational organized crime and poverty in the region.
In their interventions during the seminar on “Partnership and security and development in the core countries and partners from outside the region”, FMs of the core countries spoke about the tight ties between development, peace and security, asserting on the importance to access to a unified and comprehensive strategy to overcome the deteriorating security situation in the region.
The Algerian Minister in charge of the Maghreb and African Affairs Mr. Abdelkader Messahel asserted that Algeria, Mauritania, Niger and Mali developed a unified strategy and methodology to meet the challenges that raided the area and combat terrorism, intercontinental organized crime and poverty.
