Costacorta: “Bennacer is a successful AC Milan Recruit”

Former Italian international player Alessandro Costacorta said that the recruitment by AC Milan club management of the Algerian midfield, Ismail Bennacer, was a positive decision.

Ismail Bennacer (22 years old) joined AC Milan in the summer of 2018, as part of a contract that expires on the 30th of June 2024, coming from the Italian club Empoli.

Alessandro Costacorta explained in his most recent statements to the Italian press: “Maldini brought three excellent players, namely: Bennacer, Teo Hernandez and Ante Ribiche. I think they are talented, have a strong personality, and are worthy of wearing the red and black jersey.

Paolo Maldini is the Sports Director of AC Milan, the position that allows him to assign players, while Alessandro Costacorta played for the “Rossoneri” team for a very long time between 1986 and 2007.
For reference, the AC Milan club management recently rejected a 30-million-euro financial offer, submitted by its French counterpart from Paris Saint-Germain, to hire Ismail Bennacer, after considering that the proposed transfer amount is “cheap”.
