National Federation for the Justice Sector, decided to postpone the strike temporarily until the end of the upcoming 10 May elections, as the court clerks, who launched the open-ended strike since 10 April, will return to work in the various courts and tribunals ‭next‭ ‬Wednesday‭.

The decision comes as a result of the emergency meeting held by representatives of the judicial councils at the national level last Friday, following the attacks against the protesters near the presidential palace last week, and the refusal of the Justice Ministry to respond to the open-ended strike, which lasted for more than three weeks, in addition to three sit-ins‬ near the headquarters of the Justice Ministry in Al Biar and the presidential palace ‭ ‬in Mouradia‭. ‬

“Court clerks decide to postpone the strike in order to serve citizens and due to the upcoming elections. We will keep on defending our rights, and we decide to continue work only for the sake of citizens and the nation”, a protester said.
