Covid-19: China Is Building A Field Hospital To Stem The Virus Spread In Algeria

The Chinese government has decided to build a hospital in Algeria that will be devoted to providing health services to stem the Coronavirus spread which has brought Algeria in a state of unprecedented alert, according to the official Chinese news agency, “Xinhua”.

The agency said that about four thousand Chinese workers and about five thousand Algerians will work together to achieve this edifice, while the source that reported the news did not indicate the place where the hospital will be built or its completion dates or the capacity to receive patients.

The same agency also talked about the specialized competencies (doctors) that China provided to Algeria to fight this epidemic, which recently arrived in Algeria ith medical assistance, explaining that the medical mission consists of seven people accompanied by a team of five members, in addition to medical equipment valued at 3.23 million yuan (Chinese currency), or $ 455,000, intended to fight Covid 19.

According to Xinhua, the Chinese medical mission is specialized in treating respiratory diseases, heart diseases, intensive treatment and traditional Chinese medicine, knowing that the Chinese medical team has large experience in fighting and preventing infectious diseases and epidemics.

It is noteworthy that China contributed to the accomplishment of many building that witnesses its friendship with Algeria, the most recent of which is the International Conference Center of Staoueli in the capital Algiers.
